Uline, a distributor of shipping, industrial and packaging materials in Wisconsin, is looking to hire 50 workers for its warehouse in Ontario.
The company â which sells everything from boxes, tape and bubble wrap to labels, plastic bins and safety glasses â will host a job fair from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19 at 3120 Mission Blvd. in Ontario.
Uline set a goal last year to hire 2,000 employees across its North American footprint, but ended up hiring 2,207 workers, including 240 in Ontario. Those interested in applying for openings in Ontario can pre-register online or show up at Wednesday’s hiring event.
The company has openings for loaders and unloaders, workers to manage inventory and inventory control, and forklift operators. The jobs pay between $25 and $30 per hour. Candidates must be able to lift, push and slide packages that typically weigh between 50 and 70 pounds and they must be able to work 40 hours per week.
Openings are third-shift positions that run from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.
Uline offers medical, dental and vision coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan with a 5% employer match. Employees also get paid time off and “generous time off,” the company said. The company also offers a tuition assistance program.
With more than 7,350 employees, Uline has 12 locations in North America. This includes US distribution centers in Ontario, Reno, Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago, Allentown, Pennsylvania, Dallas and Atlanta, with additional locations in Mexicali and Monterrey, Mexico and others near Toronto and Edmonton, Canada.
