Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs CEO Aaron Fletcher’s style is classic with a twist

A staple of the State Fair of Texas since 1942, the Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs brand continues with the next generation of family entrepreneurs. Below, Aaron Fletcher discusses his attire in and out of the office. Whether he’s in the booth frying nerdy dogs during the State Fair’s 24-Day Run or dressing up for a night out on the town, learn more about executive fashion from one of Dallas’ most iconic brands.

What I do: “This year, our family business celebrates its 80th anniversary. As CEO, my main responsibilities consist of strategic planning, partnerships, and generally keeping things on track so that we can continue to deliver nerdy dogs to future generations of fans.

Style icons: “David Gandy is one of my personal style heroes. I also admire Steve McQueen, Paul Newman and Miles Davis.

At work: “You will always find me in the same uniform as our employees: black polo shirt, black shorts and red hat. (Oil doesn’t show much on black.)”

Fashion Inspiration: “I’ve always had a deep interest in art, film and interior design. Lately I’ve been inspired by New York, jazz music and Pitti Immagine Uomo in Italy. I also recently read a book called Black Ivy: A Revolt in Style, which influenced much of my current closet.

Defined style: “Classic. You won’t find me following trends too much, except for baggy pants; I’m all for that.

Fashion Essentials: “My glasses, a 1947 baseball cap and Vans Checkerboard.”

How I accessorize: “I have a watch that my dad left me that I love. It’s very over the top, a bit like him, and completely irrelevant to me, but it goes with everything. Other than that, I I have rings that I alternate, a bracelet and sometimes a necklace, and always a hat.

Look of the weekend: “I’m probably the opposite of most people, I dress up on the weekends because it’s my time to be with people and go out to dinner with my girlfriend. So while my week is usually quite relaxed, I really make an effort on weekends.

Go to the store: “Stag Provisions on Knox or J. Crew. I buy mostly online and Todd Snyder is my favorite.
