In Paris, Jonathan Simkhai and Alex Carl hosted a decadent dinner

As Paris Fashion Week draws to a close, Jonathan Simkhai and Alex Carl are keeping the party alive. The Los Angeles-based designer and stylist hosted an intimate dinner party to toast Simkhai’s Spring 2023 collection at a chic Marais apartment.

Unlike typical dinner parties where guests are assigned a seat for the night, Simkhai wanted her guests to enjoy a delicious meal without a fuss. So instead of a formal affair, French chef Pierre Touitou prepared a candlelit table dressed with delicious dishes ranging from shishito peppers to artichoke hearts and roasted beets.

Nearby, a magnificent fireplace provided aesthetic warmth as guests chatted on the sofas with glasses of champagne in hand. Floating around the room, the duo brought together friends and fashion swans like Christine Quinn, Law Roach, Aquaria, Ikram Abdi, Mia Regan, Paris Hilinski, Rachel Marx, Lulu Tenney, Declan Chan, Pernille Teisbaek, Tamu McPherson, Deborah Ababio, Vikram Kansara, vogue the Frenchman Thomas Delage and the British vogues Julia Hobbs for the fun night.

“My vibe was to bring creative people together to enjoy an amazing night in Paris my way,” Simkhai smiles. The cozy apartment was dressed in a modern maximalist and minimalist style, of course, with a Californian twist.

Setting the tone for the evening, DJ Belaria, sporting a cut-out look from Simkhai’s latest collection, spun vinyl records as guests shuffled and mingled. Amid late-night raves and over-the-top after-parties, let Simkhai host an effortlessly cool night out in Paris.
