Kelly Osbourne says 2021 was “the hardest year” of her life after relapsing.
The former “Fashion Police” star, 37, made the confession via Instagram Stories on Tuesday, further admitting, “I was submissive and completely broken.”
“I am still trying to get back on my feet,” she continued. “I’m happy. I’m healthy. That’s all that should matter.
The message was in response to a recent email Osbourne received from the National Enquirer.
As seen in a screenshot shared with her Instagram Stories, the post is said to have reached out to Osbourne to comment on a callous story they plan to broadcast.
He claimed that she had gained “a tremendous amount of weight after losing a lot of weight earlier this year” and that she “was dealing with the stress of her relapse by eating”.
The end of the email asked Osbourne to respond directly if she wanted to comment, and to include editor Dan Dolan.
“This is what I have to deal with on a daily basis,” said Osbourne. “Please feel free to email Dan and tell him what you think they’re making me ashamed of.”
Dolan did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Osbourne had previously opened up about his relapse during an appearance on “Red Table Talk” with Jada Pinkett Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris.
The TV personality said at the time that she had “come all the way through the pandemic” but relapsed after watching a couple enjoy a glass of champagne in a swimming pool one day.
“I was like, ‘Oh, I can do that too,'” she recalls. “And then the next day, I had two drinks, and then the next day it was bottles.”
