Nottingham city center store closes after 10 years in business

A Nottingham city center store in Angel Row is closing after 10 years of trading there.

Cash Outlet, a pawnshop, will close on May 31 later this year after opening in 2012.

A sign was placed in the window, which reads: “This store will close on May 31.

“Please collect redemptions and reserves before agreements expire and stores close.

“We thank our customers for using our company over the past 10 years.”

Nottingham City Council recently secured £12.53million from the ‘Future High Streets Fund’ to improve the area around Angel Row and Maid Marian Way.

Traders recently spoke about what they hope the investment will bring to the area, such as more clothing stores and independent stores.

Elsewhere in the city centre, the Royal Bank of Scotland branch in South Parade, near the Old Market Square, is also expected to close.
